We added a bit of theatre by enlisting a guest from each table to don a chef’s hat and apron, and carry the joints of meat back to their place to carve. It was a real crowd pleaser, and got everyone talking. Nibbles2Nosh Catering were amazing. We had a Pimms cart in the middle of the courtyard, which was fully stocked and served the reception drinks. Everyone loved it and commented on it, which made it worthwhile. Jazz singer Thoroughly Modern Mille played during our reception drinks, and later joined live band The 88s as lead signer for the evening. They really got the party going with hits from the 60s through to the present day. We also had a white London cab photo booth in the evening, which was so much fun. Enjoy every minute and don’t get hung up on silly things. The more you over think and worry the more you lose the special moments. And, once you’ve chosen your dress – stop looking! 40
