As a business, we’re prompt, courteous, professional and customer-focused with an attention to detail and flexibility in our approach. We have more than 20 years of experience providing live music in Sussex, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. To what part of the day would your act be best suited? Most couples get in touch with us when they begin thinking about a band for their evening reception. They’ll be looking for an unforgettable night of dancing, singing and partying surrounded by their nearest and dearest, and we can certainly help with that! What people often don’t realise is that music can be an important part of their day at any time. From ceremonial music performed by soloists, pianists or guitarists, to jazz trios or acoustic musicians for the drinks reception, we can provide it all. Tell us about your favourite gig… It has to be from just last year when we were booked by a TV celebrity for their 30th birthday party. Just before the guests arrived, and only an hour before our performance, we were told that it was, in fact, a surprise wedding! It was such a wonderful event to be part of, and having such a thrilled and energised crowd on the dancefloor made the evening a lot of fun. Truly unforgettable. We mainly offer live bands, singers, DJs, rustic light-up letters and selfie pod photo booths, but we also have lots of contacts for other types of entertainment and are always happy to put together a bespoke package of day time and evening entertainment. What do you love most about working with weddings? Helping couples and their guests have a great time and creating amazing memories. What top tip would you give to couples planning the entertainment for their big day? Try to get all of your entertainment through one supplier as you’ll save money on a package deal, and dealing with one company in the buildup lifts a lot of stress from your shoulders. I have a passion for ensuring that my couples have wedding days to remember, filled with fun and plenty of dancing. I enjoy listening to couples and offering them advice to create the day they dream of full of floor-filling music and fun. It’s the best job in the world! My popular VW Campervan DJ booth is almost fully booked for 2019, but I’m looking forward to working with more couples to create magical, one-of-a-kind wedding days over the coming years. What does a typical week look like for you? It starts with a day off because I mainly work weekends. The rest of the week involves meeting clients to chat about their options and give them plenty of inspiration before they decide to book their entertainment. I also arrange to visit venues if I’m unfamiliar with them and work on music preparation, website admin and social media and less exciting aspects of the job, such as admin and accounts! What top tip would you give to couples planning the music for their big day? Always meet your entertainment provider, be it a DJ or a band, before you commit to booking them. This will not only allow you to understand who you’re booking and how you get on together, but it will also make you think about the music you and your guests love to dance to. Oh, and do make sure it’s actually the DJ you are booking who will work for you on your wedding day!
