We enjoyed a wedding breakfast of antipasti followed by beef and Harvey’s ale pie for main. After the tequila-fuelled speeches, we went back into the garden for ice cream from the gelato bike and music from Jamie Mathias. This was my favourite part of the day. During the evening, we served a hog roast with all the trimmings, which many of our guests enjoyed while sitting around the firepit. Our first dance was written and performed by Jamie, based entirely on information we provided about each other, our relationship and our memories. Our DJ then kicked off the evening with a bang, and we danced the night away with friends and family. We stayed at a beautiful hotel in Bath for a few nights on our own before heading off to Greece’s Domes of Elounda as a family for a week. We had an amazing time, which was made even more special by finding out on our return that we were expecting our second child! For our centrepieces, we opted for large wooden crates filled with garden flowers and gypsophila. 62
