Your Sussex Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 81)
We had a moon arch for our ceremony backdrop, which looked incredible when decorated with blush roses and greenery. After the ceremony, we enjoyed a drinks reception in the gardens of the barn while being entertained by guitarist Kane Taylor. We served canapés of soft shell crab with gin chasers, lamb koftas, mini croque monsieurs, mini sausages, and mushroom and tomato skewers. We hired games for people to play throughout the day, including a coconut shy, ball in the bucket, giant Jenga and beer golf pong. I made a lot of the venue decorations, including the pallets with details of the day’s timings and the straw bale sofa relaxation area with cushions and throws. We deviated from tradition when it came to the cake and opted for a cheese version, which we served with chutney and biscuits in the evening. REAL WEDDINGS 61
