Your Sussex Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 81)
Tia and Daniel’s country fair-inspired celebrations took place on 1 st September, 2018 Images courtesy of Teri V Photography LAWS OF T ia sat opposite Daniel when they worked together at the same law firm. They quickly discovered a shared sense of humour, with Dan never failing to leave Tia in fits of giggles. It soon became apparent that there was something more between them… Dan intended his proposal to be a surprise, but Tia says, “He was so cagey the whole day, I knew something was going on!” She’d been at a training event, only to return home to find their house in darkness. As she entered the living room, which was filled with candles, she saw “Marry Me?” laid out in rose petals. Tia ended the suspense for Dan in a heartbeat, and the pair headed out to celebrate over dinner and cocktails. When engagement celebrations wound down, the venue search was on, and the couple were looking for somewhere that would allow them complete freedom over supplier choice and styling. Tia says: “I had some specific personal touches in mind for our day and wanted a venue that could accommodate that vision. We fell in love with Peeling Manor Barns as soon as we saw it; the opportunities to put your own stamp on it are endless.” The pair were given the keys to the barn on the Monday before their wedding day, meaning they had the luxury of almost a week to set everything up and make sure it was perfect. They said their official “I dos” at Eastbourne Register Office a couple of days before they exchanged the vows they had written in front of friends and family.
