Your Sussex Wedding - October/November 2019 (Issue 81)

We didn’t put too much pressure on ourselves to create the perfect day. Our perfect day was getting married. This thought helped to keep pre-wedding stress to a minimum. We flew to Montreal for our honeymoon, spent a few days there and then took the train to Toronto. We only booked it two weeks before the wedding, as is our usual last-minute holiday custom! After the majority of our guests had gone home, the stalwarts sat around a fire pit on the field. This was a magical experience under the stars. One of our bridesmaids played her ukulele while we sipped whisky by firelight. Thankfully, no one was harmed by the drunk, axe-wielding father-in-law trying to chop firewood!
