Rebecca was an admin clerk, and Luke was a Royal Marine. “He used to try to find things wrong with his payslips as an excuse to hang around the office and flirt with me,” the bride says. Luke popped the question in South Africa while the pair were away on a safari holiday. Rebecca describes it best: “We were dining al fresco at a gorgeous safari lodge, the stars were sparkling, the fire was glowing and he took the ring out and asked me to marry him!” Unfortunately, although wonderfully romantic, the proposal wasn’t a surprise because Luke had accidentally sent Rebecca the email conversation between himself and the safari lodge manager detailing his plans – oops!
