Your Sussex Wedding - Jun/Jul 2019 (Issue 79)

My adult bridesmaids wore dusky pink multiway dresses, which were in different styles. The younger bridesmaids were dressed in dusky pink dresses with lace detail, and the flowergirls wore the same in white. Our favours were little glass jars decorated with navy ribbon and filled with blue and pink Smarties. I was extremely nervous about the ceremony, but once it was over, I felt I could enjoy myself and take in everything fully. Josh was nervous too, particularly about his speech, but we were more excited than anything. I accessorised with a beaded silver and diamond headband. I also wore the veil my mum wore on her wedding day. I wore a fishtail-style dress, which was nothing like I’d envisioned myself choosing. Once I tried in on, though, I fell in love with it and knew it was the one. It was actually the last dress I tried on – my mum had picked it out for me. The groom and groomsmen all wore matching slim-fit navy wool-blend suits with dusky pink ties and handkerchiefs. 60
