In fact, one could say that fate had been doing its damnedest to bring them together. The pair, being keen volleyball players, had met through matches and tournaments. Later, they met again when they found themselves on the same team for a 100km walk in 2015, and the spark began to appear while they spent the two days laughing and joking with one another. There were many more meetings after that before they became a couple the following year. In October 2017, Dan surprised Louise with a trip to Rye. She says, “I didn’t know anything about it until he told me on the morning to pack a bag for a few days!” During their stay, they rented some bikes and rode out into the countryside, coming to a halt alongside a beautiful lake. It was there that Dan proposed with his grandmother’s engagement ring. “It was just perfect,” Louise tells us. Here the bride and groom share more memories of 15 th September, 2018, their gorgeous wedding day… 65  REAL WEDDINGS
