Your Sussex Wedding - Apr/May 2019 (Issue 78)
6 Spring has sprung D espite being a self-confessed winterholic, I can’t say I was sorry to see the back of the dark nights. When I think of spring, what immediately comes to mind is new life. There’s just something in the air, with trees blooming and wonderful spring flowers blossoming. So if you have a gorgeous spring wedding planned, excellent choice, I say! As the season brings with it a shift in wedding trends, I’m excited to see what this year brings. I’m already daydreaming about contemporary rustic hues with a dash of vintage chintz – dusty blue, soft green, lemon yellow and the Pantone colour of the year, Living Coral, all of which have been the inspiration behind my picks for these pages. Fresh, clean and fun – just glorious! As soon as the weather starts brightening up, I love to get out for day trips. There are so many corners of our fabulous country to explore. Here in Sussex, we have a wealth of historic properties and plenty where you can host a wedding. Check out our roundup on page 31. We’re all about the finer details in this issue. From the venue to, well, you, it’s those final little elements that help bring everything together perfectly. That’s why we’ll be guiding you through our A-Z of finishing touches (page 75), as well as talking to the county’s beauty professionals to get the lowdown on creating your bridal look (page 105).
