Everyone complimented our food, and the service was perfect. We wanted a relaxed feel to the day, so we chose a barbecue style wedding breakfast and a pizza buffet for the evening. We found a beautiful tree in Alfriston Gardens, which we decorated and called our ‘Love Tree.’ We hung hearts on the branches, and a vintage frame for our guests to take selfies. We draped fairylights over the oak beams along the entire reception barn, which lent a magical feeling to the evening. For our evening reception, we hired The Sweet and Lowdown from Brighton. They got everyone up and dancing. We didn’t leave the dancefloor all night! They allowed us to select a range of 80s hits that we loved, and they arranged the songs knowing how to get everyone up and having a good time. We have to give a huge thanks to Janie, for all the hard work she put in, making the day run smoothly and all the little extras to make it so special. She was amazing from the day we met. No request was too much, and she supported us through each stage. Janie reassured us, that everything would be perfect, and she was right, it was! The night before we’d had a sleepless night from nerves and a thunderstorm. Our photographer, Jo, came to visit us both separately in the morning and suggested Martina had a drink to calm her down! 41 REAL WEDDINGS
