My bridesmaids were given a colour palette of dusky rose or burgundy and chose any style and material they liked. I wore an ivory satin A-line gown with a side split, Monique by Nieve. I accessorised it with a pearl hair grip to match the dress’ pearl straps, along with a veil also embellished with pearls. Abhi wore a navy tux, while his groomsmen were dressed in black. We booked a violinist for our ceremony and a saxophonist for our wedding reception, they were such a hit with our guests, with the violin bringing people to tears. It was undoubtedly the happiest day of our lives. We experienced such a mix of emotions, and we were so happy to have all our friends and family together in one room. Instead of readings during the ceremony, we had one of my friends, who is an opera singer, perform Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro, which was absolutely beautiful. 40
