Although we didn’t actually execute it as we’d been taught, thanks to the nerves, it went well and our guests were impressed with our efforts. We went to Rome for two days and explored the city before going on a Mediterranean cruise around the south coast of Italy, Sicily, Greece and France for 10 days. Our friends and family contributed to the costs as a wedding present. We’ve had our favourite photo blown up and printed on a canvas, which we have hanging in our lounge for everyone to see and admire! It was taken as we were coming up some steps alongside a cafe bar, with some colourful posters on a posterboard, very stylish! The venue catered our wedding breakfast and evening food. We attended a food tasting and menu picking session several months beforehand. There were choices of three starters, three mains and three desserts – something for most tastes including vegetarian options. 42
