A TOUCH OF DISNEY MAGIC The couple opted for Lindt chocolates for the wedding favours along with drinks tokens for the adults in personalised organza bags. The children were gifted Lindt bunnies also in their own organza bags, while the two babies were treated to a Jojo bunny each. They also handed out dog treats, homemade by Oliver’s mum, as there are around 20 dogs in the family! The table plan, place cards, table names and menu cards were all handmade from pearlescent ivory card with an ivory laser-cut overlay by Emma at Cherished Cards; while the tables were named after famous Disney couples. The centrepieces were whimsical luxury silk flower arrangements sitting on crystal pillars by Chic Weddings who added Alexandra’s favourite flowers – pink peonies. The gorgeous staircase and fireplace runners were designed to match. The bridal bouquet meanwhile, featured soft, blousy blooms in cream, ivory and blush pink along with silvery green foliage; plus Alexandra’s great aunt’s necklace was incorporated into the binding. The big-day bake was a three-tier fondant iced showstopper with hidden Mickey Mouses and a personalised topper featuring the couple’s dogs. There were also Minnie Mouse sugar cookies with blush pink bows as an extra treat for their loved ones. Further super-personal decorative touches included a photo of both sets of parents on their wedding day, a screenshot of their first words to one another, a photo of the proposal, a picture of their dogs in a bow tie and flower collar, a timeline of their relationship so far and of course, some Gummy Bears! TIME TO SPARKLE The bride wore Shania from Romantica of Devon. Although it wasn’t the style she ever imagined she’d go for, when she saw herself in it and pictured it with the suggested addition of straps, she knew it was the one she’d be walking down the aisle in. The look was completed with a chapel-length veil with sequinned floral lace train, and an array of dainty crystals scattered all over. Oliver chose a Ted Baker tailored fit suit in blue. To ensure he stood out from the rest of his party he paired it with a green tweed waistcoat, ivory tie and pocket square. As a surprise he also wore a pink badge bearing a photo of their fur-babies. The groomsmen wore blue suits with matching waistcoats, while the maid-of-honour looked the part in an empire-line, off-the-shoulder, chiffon, floor-length gown. MUSIC OF LOVE At the church, The Tailored Tenors performed alongside the organist and bell ringers. “We wanted to keep the traditions of the church with a modern twist of having special songs sung by the West End stars,” Alexandra says. During the drinks reception and wedding breakfast, Phil from MTA Events played some of the newlyweds' favourite “We sat at five different tables during dinner, moving between each course and visited the final four tables during coffee.” 44
