Nick was so excited to be able to hold the flaming sword – I’ve never seen him as happy!” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “Because we’d had the legal ceremony the day before, our nerves on the actual wedding day weren’t too bad,” Siobhan tells us. “It was a day to celebrate and feel the love for all of our family and friends, and for each other. It was just nice to finally see everything that we’d been planning come together so wonderfully, and to see everyone enjoying themselves. “During dinner, just after Nick had given his speech, the groomsmen started chanting and lifting their axes in the air. Before we knew it, the whole room was filled with chants and everyone banging on the tables. It continued to get louder and louder until both Nick and I stood up, Nick lifting his sword aloft. It was amazing to see how much everyone there loved and supported us. “Sophie, our photographer, made our wedding extra special. She truly gave her everything to make our day amazing and to get all the silly photo requests that we’d given her! The way she and Royston made sure that we felt comfortable and just blended in was incredible. I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for us. The same goes for Phil and Jackie and the team at Southlands Barn. From the moment we stepped into the venue in 2020 to the day we got married, they’ve given their all to making sure our day was perfect.” 32
