Your Sussex Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 106)

32 HEART OF THE MATTER Afraid of missing out on the action during the ceremony, little Oakley stayed by her parents’ sides for a front row seat as they said “I do.” cwe COUNTY WEDDING EVENTS Well, here we are at the end of the another year. Is it me, or did 2023 fly by faster than usual? Mind you, with the pandemic growing more and more distant in our rear view mirrors as weddings embrace a sense of back to normality, it’s no wonder really. The highlights for me were the Coronation and Carlos Alcaraz’s brilliant win at Wimbledon, as well as getting to see some more of Europe and, of course, celebrating Your Sussex Wedding’s shiny new website! When you’ve read this issue, why not have a look around? There’s plenty on offer to keep you ahead of the curve with your wedding planning. Autumn was unseasonably warm, so I have everything crossed from some chilly weather this winter; especially for those of you with cosy December or January nuptials in store. Summer’s all well and good, but the time comes when it’s great to just snuggle up in your favourite jumper and curl up with your spouse-to-be in front of your favourite Netflix show, or better still, with your tablet and favourite wedding magazine! This issue we go all out on the romance front as local photographers show us the look of love. Meanwhile, if themes and palettes are on your mind, turn to our annual venue styling feature, where you’ll find all the inspiration you’ll need fresh from our lovely local suppliers. Finally, for a touch of winter magic, check out our Hot Topic pages where Sussex’s experts tell us how to bring the joy of the season to your nuptials. So as ever, enjoy and keeeep planning!
