Even waiting to walk down the aisle was a moment of complete clarity for Jo. “I remember thinking how right and normal it felt,” she shares. Indeed, the ceremony was the most memorable part of the day for Jonah. “I was really emotional seeing Jo walk down the aisle and seeing her dress. It’s a bit of a blur but I remember sitting down while someone was reading and holding her hand. It was like it was just her and me, and that was good,” he recalls. The couple’s daughter took her role as chief bridesmaid very seriously. During the morning, she had a detailed timetable of who should be where and when, and we’re told was very strict! She made sure everyone had their readings and that the best man had the rings. In fact, she made sure everyone kept to schedule and as a result the ceremony started right on time. 34
