That Fish Guy went above and beyond ou r expectations. We originally had them booked as a second ca terer for the evening, but as we had to reduce guest numbers, w e asked them to do the daytime catering instead. We didn’t get to do any tasting, so we didn’t know what to expect, but everything was p erfect. The canapés were delicious, and the afternoon tea was just w ow! We haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet, but we did manage to hire a little cottage in Bristol after the wedding. We’re hoping to go to Dubai and the Maldives in November. Seconds from arriving at the venue, the cake toppled over in the car on my lap! The morning of the wedding, the whole bridal party tried to patch it up with numerous tubs of icing and flowers. We couldn’t stop laughing about it. I bought Oliver a watch as a gift but I size d it completely wrong and it wouldn’t even fit over his han d! I’m normally the emotional one, so it was unexpected to see, and he set everyone els e off. We felt surprisingly relaxed on the mornin g of the wedding. After the many postponements and uncertaintie s in the lead up to the day, we were just happy and relieved to finally be getting married. All the worry and stress just disappeared, and we had a day full of pure joy and laughter. 38
