Your South Wales Wedding - Page number 37 - September/October 2021 (Issue 81)
During the ceremony and reception, we had the Taliesin String Quartet play. They were brilliant! They performed chart music, songs from musicals and some classical pieces. In the evening, we originally booked a full band called Indienational through Music HQ. However, because of COVID-19 restrictions, we decided to change the booking, so we had two members of the band doing an acoustic set. They also acted as a DJ and played some background music for us. It was so good to hear live music again, and whilst it was hard as guests couldn’t get up to dance, it was just nice to have them there to listen to and provide some ambience to the evening. The bridesmaids opted for long chiffon dresses with tie back details from Maids to Measure. Oliver chose a custom-made suit from Mo ss Bros. It was a dinner suit in black velvet with satin lapels. Inside the jacket was our original wedding date embroidered and w e had the new date added in. The groomsmen wore black din ner suits and bow ties to complement Oliver. I opted for an Enzoani dress called Neve from Laura May Bridal. It was a lace fitted gown with a low detailed back and long train. I fell in love with it and couldn’t get it out of my mind as it made me feel like the best version of myself. I accessorised with a cathedral-length veil, a crystal and pearl clip and Christian Louboutin shoes. As something a bit different we created a booze bath. I bought the bath on eBay a few years ago and had it spray painted gold. We then asked Catherine Gray Flowers to add some flowers and Lumi Event Design to create a sign. REAL WEDDINGS 37
