We did manage a small getaway to Calcot Spa in the Cotswolds and did some horse riding, archery and shooting. It was a nice, relaxing getaway, and we’re so grateful that we were able to celebrate in some way. My cousin was fuming that Jason walked into the reception to greet guests without me before realising that it wasn’t Jason but his identic al twin! The staff at Pencoed House Estate made the day special for us. They went above and beyond to cater for whatever we needed, and under such difficult times with COVID-19 restrictions, they made everyone feel safe and welcome. The fact my dad had his facemask on upside down when walking down the aisle was pretty funny. We were excited on the morning of the wedding. We’d been waiting so long for the day to finally arrive and were so pleased that it all came together so perfectly. It was better than we could have imagined. To keep everyone entertained, we hired singer Bron wen Lewis to perform at the church and evening reception. 44
