Your South Wales Wedding - January/February 2021 (Issue 77)
I wore a Needle and Thread beaded dress which I bought for a bargain on eBay. My mum customised it with a corset fitted in the back. I loved my gown and want an occasion to wear it again! I accessorised with my grandmother’s pearl earrings as her middle name is Pearl, and my name also means pearl in German. Our big-day bake was a replica of Harry and Meghan’s lemon and elderflower wedding cake from Iceland. Dan wore a black dinner suit that was given to us by a family friend and a navy tie from Primark. My talented brother played the guitar for our guests in the evening. After the ceremony, we had a picnic at Caldicot Castle. Both being from Cornwall, we had to have Cornish pasties! At the reception, we opted for woodfired pizzas provided by Dough To Go. They were amazing and made each order in an individual box so our guests could go and help themselves to food when they were ready. Our caterers went above and beyond and met all additional requirements and dietary needs. We hired a photo booth from Myselfie, which went down well with our guests and ended up with some pretty hilarious pictures. The booth itself came in a box, and you simply plug it in and set it up in five minutes. Once you’re done, send it back, and they upload the images onto a private online gallery. REAL WEDDINGS 29
