Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2020 (Issue 76)

Stuart and I chose hessian and ivory lace bunting and paper lanterns that were suspended from the ceiling. The cake was a three-tier creation from Alison Hendra Cake Design. It was made up of sponge, lemon and chocolate orange and was decorated with hessian, ribbon and starfish. Our favours were hessian bags that were hand-stamped with a starfish design containing Belgian chocolates. For the stationery, I decided to make the place names and table plan. We wanted to incorporate turquoise, hessian, lace and starfish throughout, so I kept it simple with splashes of colour to reflect the beach setting. I always wanted to get married on or near the beach, so when we saw The Oxwich Bay, we fell in love with it. We had amazing views of the Gower peninsular from the marquee, and the venue’s attention to detail made it look exactly how I imagined. We chose hurricane vases with sand, candles and starfish for our centrepieces. 26
