Your South Wales Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 75)
We attended an ice sculpture workshop at The Ice Academy, where we made an ice cactus which you could serve drinks through. The course was really fun and a nice activity to do together. We’re both fans of Pickering’s Gin, so we decided to service this through the cactus. After the ceremony, we had afternoon tea in the church hall, followed by an official wedding breakfast at the museum. Our caterers, Elior, came up with an amazing menu which had a south-west American theme running through. It was a big hit with our guests who enjoyed creating their own burgers. Rob wore a tailor-made dark green suit from Hawkes Bespoke Outfitters. It really suited him and made him stand out on the day. The bridesmaids opted for burgundy dresses from Phase Eight. I loved the delicate pink pattern on the front and that it matched our theme beautifully. I wore an Essence of Australia dress called D2000 from Laura May Bridal. It was a beautiful gown with lace detail and a corset back. It wasn’t the style I initially wanted, but once I tried it on, I knew it was the one. My mum bought some lace and made a gorgeous cape for me to wear in the evening. We designed our wedding rings with Lydia Niziblian. I chose a rose gold option to match my engagement ring, and Rob opted for a white gold design. It was an exciting journey, and Lydia was very helpful. REAL WEDDINGS 47
