Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 73)
Cup n’ Cakes by Ivy provided our big-day bake. Mike’s parents, Alison and Len, treated us, which was a lovely surprise. It was dove grey and tasted delicious. We purchased ivory roses and lots of greenery from Rosie’s Florist and Flower School. We chose an arrangement for the grand staircase, matching aisle ends and simple greenery for the fireplaces. For our table plan, we asked our friend, Rhian Samuel, to create a pinboard. She used hand- written post-it notes placed on mini-buffalo clips that looked beautiful. We decorated the venue with lots of candles and fairylights. We wanted to create a simple and timeless look. We loved that St Tewdrics House was a blank canvas in a secluded setting. There were enough rooms for our close family to stay and having exclusivity was a huge draw. Our centrepieces were a mixture of giant martini and peony-filled champagne flutes. We incorporated lots of accessories from friends and family and lovely candelabra. 40
