Your South Wales Wedding - Jan/Feb 2020 (Issue 71)

We fell in love with decorations made from old vinyls on eBay. We purchased them, and Sarah used them as our centrepieces. We named the tables after our favourite stages at Glastonbury Festival. Our good friend, Flowers By Kirsty, provided our big-day blooms. We went for an appointment and explained exactly what we wanted. I decided on a bouquet that would complement the bridesmaids’ dresses and a matching flower crown. Kirsty advised the best flowers and kept them in a cool place the night before the wedding to ensure they looked fresh on the day. We really can’t thank her enough for all of her hard work. We love music and decided to have a festival-themed wedding. The barn is a blank canvas and comes with rustic chandeliers, hay bales, twinkling lights and stunning drapes. I’m not very creative so thankfully my maid-of-honour, Sarah, came up with most of the ideas. We looked all over South Wales for a unique wedding venue that was in keeping with our theme. We were about to give up hope when I noticed a post on Instagram about The Sugar Loaf Barn. We made an appointment and met with Andrew Johnson, the owner, who made us feel right at home. The venue was amazing, and we booked it straight away. A few of our friends recommended Stickyfingers Cakes. I contacted the owner, Jaci, and asked if she’d be able to replicate a design I’d seen on Pinterest. She did an amazing job and also provided us with colourful cupcakes, a strawberry chocolate tower, Welshcakes and sweet cones. 50
