Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2019 (Issue 70)
REAL WEDDINGS 43 The couple hired a vintage bus from Richards Bros. “The bus took us to Newport Beach where we had a Volkswagon Campervan called Willow from Van Kampers waiting for us,” Kimmy explains. “We stored games and a selection of drinks in the van and had a party on the beach.” DRESSED TO IMPRESS Kimmy chose a beautiful gown from White Bride in Narberth. “I loved it straight away,” shares Kimmy. “On my last fitting, I decided to buy a different sash and Sally from White Bride found the perfect design.” Luke opted for a DKNY suit from Moss Bros, and the groomsmen choose their own outfits. “My bridesmaids wore Chi Chi London dresses,” explains the bride. “I loved the design and the detailed straps.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “Our guests were looked after all day,” Kimmy reveals. “We provided champagne and canapés, followed by a trip to the beach where we played games. In the evening, we hired the superb Honey Fungus who kept everyone dancing all night.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “On the morning of our nuptials, we both felt overwhelmed but couldn’t wait to celebrate,” explains Kimmy. “Knowing that most of the décor had been created by our friends and family meant so much to us and gave our day a personal touch.” HONEYMOON “After the wedding, we went away on a mini-moon with the children,” shares the bride. “We hired a motorhome and went to Cardiff, Swansea and Longleat. We’ve booked our official honeymoon for the end of July. We’re going to Mauritius for 10 nights and couldn’t be more excited.” TOP TIPS “It’s hard to remember everything, so I’d suggest hiring a videographer.” – Kimmy.
