Your South Wales Wedding - November/December 2019 (Issue 70)

REAL WEDDINGS I wanted a custom backdrop that would cover the top table, but I couldn’t find a design I liked. I met the amazing Sarah from MST Events, and she spent weeks sewing yards of material to create the most amazing design. We hired the very talented Katie Bayliss Harpist to perform during our ceremony and drinks reception. In the evening, one of my best friends, Gavin Sheppard, sang for us. He got the party started and made sure everyone was on the dancefloor. My dress was a Pronovias design from Allison Jayne. Pete and I love the 50s, and I wanted to incorporate the era into my gown without settling for a tea-length design. I accessorised with droplet earrings, a cathedral ribbon-edge veil and a pearl and diamanté headband. Pete and the groomsmen chose navy suits with pink ties and pocket squares. The bridesmaids opted for floor-length chiffon dresses with lace Bardot tops. I had a fantastic seamstress add straps to make them feel more bridal. We loved sitting at the top table and watching all of our friends and family laughing and enjoying each other’s company. 37 
