Your South Wales Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 69)

We liked the fact that Court Colman Manor had a traditional yet contemporary décor. The staff were experts at arranging weddings and dealt with us on a personal level that made the experience really enjoyable. Both my dad and step-dad were vital to my upbringing. They don’t usually talk, but they agreed to put aside their differences for our nuptials and got along really well. They walked me down the aisle, and when I saw them for the first time, I was so proud. Our photographer, Andrew, captured a picture of me just before they came into the room, and it perfectly sums up just how much that moment meant to me. Most of our stationery was supplied by Crafty Bunneys. We’d decided on a wooden theme and bought our save-the- dates from a company in Poland before coming across Crafty Bunneys at a wedding fair. We loved their work and were over the moon that they were local. We gave each of our guests a Mickey Mouse keyring with their name engraved on to it as favours. For our centrepieces, we opted for a Beauty and the Beast theme. We purchased rose globes that lit up and had candelabra decorated with figurines from the film. Our big-day bake was an ivory three-tier creation from Bryn Awel Creative Cakes. We opted for three delicious flavours: lemon, chocolate orange and Victoria sponge. To complete the look, we purchased a wooden cake-topper of Mickey and Minnie Mouse kissing. 50
