Your South Wales Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 69)
REAL WEDDINGS 45 back. She wanted something simple and elegant. She accessorised with a flower crown, which looked stunning.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “Our evening celebration was inspired by The Great Gatsby ,” Danielle reveals. “We hired Sarah Passmore Music to perform before the meal. She created a great atmosphere and even wrote us a song. Once the food had been served, a swing band called Hot Shoes played. They were excellent and kept the dancefloor full all night. We had an amazing time, and so many guests told us it was the best celebration they’d ever been to.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “On the morning of our nuptials, we felt incredibly excited and couldn’t wait to celebrate,” explains Danielle. “Having our dog with us was the icing on the cake, and I don’t think we could have got married if he hadn’t been there. I’m also so grateful that I got to spend the day with my dad, as he passed away a few months after the wedding. Our photographer captured images of him that I’ll treasure for the rest of my life.” The couple were thrilled with all of their suppliers, as Danielle shares: “The staff at our reception venue were brilliant. We asked for dinner for 17 people, but when we arrived, they’d decorated the pub, and everyone was lined up ready to welcome us. They provided a bed for our dog, gifts, a framed menu, cake toppers and personalised glasses for me and Sarah. It is, beyond a doubt, the best pub ever.” HONEYMOON “We stayed in a tipi in West Wales for our mini-moon,” shares Danielle. “We disconnected from social media, and it was so relaxing. We’re planning to have a big honeymoon next year, but we haven’t decided on a destination yet.”
