Your South Wales Wedding - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 69)

REAL WEDDINGS Each place setting had a balloon attached to it, which created a sea of colour. We also hand-cut confetti and gave it to our guests to throw after the ceremony. We hired a fantastic DJ, a portable casino, a magic mirror photo booth, a popcorn machine and a delicious sweet cart. The DJ was a massive hit and played a wide selection of music. Richard chose a navy suit with a grey tweed waistcoat, blue bow tie and brown shoes from OH Big Man. The bridesmaids wore Little Mistress chiffon maxi-dresses with bejewelled tops and caped sleeves from Very. The maid-of-honour’s gown was grey, while the rest of the party opted for blue versions. My dress was a Madeline Gardner New York design called Clara from Samantha K’s. I always wanted something with sleeves and a bit of sparkle. I surprised myself by choosing a princess skirt, which felt like it was made especially for me. I accessorised with a veil, tiara and sentimental pieces of jewellery. In the evening, we had a pizza bar with six different flavours. We also had a log fire burning away, with marshmallows available in case anyone wanted to relax outside. 39 X
