The venue overlooks the magnificent Grade I listed Bute Park and the surrounding 19 th -century civic buildings. Originally known as Cardiff Castle Stables, the college is an impressive venue surrounded by acres of lush countryside, ideal for those newlywed snaps. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Nearlyweds can get married in the Anthony Hopkins Centre, which is made up of two areas; one has space for 85 loved ones for the vows, and the other can hold 60. The world-class Concert Hall is also available, with room for 250 guests for the service. Alternatively, the Richard Burton Theatre can accommodate up to 130 nearest and dearest for the ceremony. For more intimate receptions, up to 50 friends and family can be hosted in The Stables. Larger celebrations for up to 200 people can be held in the entrance hall and open-air terrace. Lastly, the glass-walled Atrium is available. Boasting a private bar, dancing area, cloakroom and bridge decorated in fairylights, it can hold 300 attendees for the evening party. The Georgian mansion is situated in the foothills of the Garw Valley and combines modern and period décor to create a stunning backdrop for weddings. Inside, there are three function areas, large fireplaces, a sweeping staircase, a modern lounge, 29 stylish bedrooms and an on-site Indian restaurant. The exterior has large windows and is surrounded by quaint ponds, water fountains and charming countryside. A more recent addition is the Ivy Cottage. Tucked away in the grounds, it offers a quirky alternative to staying in the hotel. CELEBRATE IN STYLE Couples can say “I do” in the Versailles Ballroom, a grand area that features blush wallpaper, marble pillars and crystal chandeliers, with room for 120 nearest and dearest throughout the day. The Garden Room is a light and airy space that was originally built as a conservatory. It features large windows and can be combined with the Versailles Ballroom to accommodate larger celebrations. Alternatively, the Llewellyn Room named after the family who originally lived at the property – with its wood panelling and Edwardian skylight, can hold 45 guests. WE LOVE...
