Your South Wales Wedding - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 68)

Our wedding was the best day of our lives. Everything was exactly how we imagined, and we couldn’t have been happier. The flowers were absolutely incredible! Lucy from Flowers, I do, did an outstanding job. I asked her to incorporate greenery, eucalyptus, texture and soft colours. We originally wanted a large arrangement for our top table, but we later discovered there wasn’t enough space. Luckily, Lucy had no problem redesigning it to be hung from the chandeliers instead. We looked at a few venues around South Wales, but nothing compared to Caer Llan. During our first visit, we fell in love with the views and knew straight away it was the perfect place for us. The property was big enough to cater for all of our friends and family, but it also felt quite intimate. The owners, Vicky and Jake, were so friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Luke and I chose a three-tier cake from Marks & Spencer. We designed it ourselves and opted for a Lego cake-topper. For the centrepieces, we chose copper and gold geometric tea light holders from Wilko, Asda and Hobbycraft. I designed the stationery, place names and table plan using online design software. The final result made all the long hours and hard work worth it. 38
