Your South Wales Wedding - Mar/Apr 2019 (Issue 66)
I’m the first to kick off my heels on a night out, so I wanted the ladies to be able to enjoy themselves without worrying about their footwear. I provided a basket of flip-flops, which were a total hit! For our table plan, we wanted something a bit quirky and different. We discussed it with our florist, Samara, and decided to hang table names from a beautiful wisteria tree. My dress was made by Madeline Gardner New York. It was called Fabiola, and I purchased it from Samantha K’s in Swansea. I originally wanted a princess gown, but when I tried one on, I realised it didn’t suit my figure. I looked at different styles and ended up falling in love with a halterneck embellished with pearls and a diamanté belt. The team were brilliant, and I felt so comfortable around them. I accessorised with a gold, ivory and pearl headpiece, a lace veil and diamond jewellery. I had four bridesmaids with different figures, so finding one style to suit them all was difficult. I decided on a Jenny Yoo gown from Samantha K’s. It was pastel pink with embellishments that matched my dress. To add a personal touch, we decided to make a sweet table full of our favourite treats. Nick and the groomsmen wore three-piece blue suits, with white shirts, pink ties and tan shoes from Dyfed Menswear. REAL WEDDINGS 53
