We decorated the space with a postbox, a sweet cart, giant love letters and a memory table with photographs of our grandparents. For our centrepieces, we placed jam jars full of flowers on to silver mirrors. Our tables were named after Disney films. I made the place cards myself and themed each one around a different character. We chose a four-tier Disney-themed bake from Cottage Kitchen Cakes. The toppers were Mickey and Minnie Mouse dressed as a bride and groom. It was made up of chocolate, Victoria sponge, lemon and raspberry. Jack and I attended a wedding fair in January 2018. We walked past a stall for The Celtic Manor Resort, and they asked whether we’d like to enter a competition to win our wedding. We agreed, and not long after the coordinator, Helen Glanville, called us and told us we’d won! She was fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble for her. We both felt nervous and didn’t sleep much the night before the wedding. I was worried about getting ready, especially since there were six of us having our hair and make-up done! 40
