“I have to shout about my amazing glam squad, as I genuinely couldn’t have got through the day without them,” adds Nia. “From my wonderful hairdresser, Abi from Fich and Ramous, taking the stickers off my shoes to Victoria Fox Makeup Artist doing my corset back up, these girls went above and beyond! I must also mention the wonderful Anwen from Anwen Bentley Millinery, who made my mum’s beautiful bespoke fascinator to match her outfit.” Carwyn chose a green suit from Dyfed Menswear. “Carwyn and our pageboys wore matching check waistcoats and the ushers had green suits,” shares the bride. “To finish the look, my three bridesmaids all chose their dresses in different shades of green from Monsoon and ASOS.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “To keep our guests entertained, ParTee Entertainment provided mini golf, which was an absolute hit, especially as the sun was shining,” recalls Nia. “Carwyn surprised me with a saxophone quartet called Saxidentals who started playing when we walked around the corner after the ceremony! We also had an audio guestbook from Starlight Events South Wales, which was amazing listening to on our honeymoon; the messages get progressively funnier as the night went on. We also had a photo booth provided by Ultra Booth and a live singer who got everyone on the dancefloor!” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “The day was like a dream,” explains the bride. “It was so amazing having everyone you love there to celebrate with you. Carwyn is a Welsh speaker, so we had a dual ceremony, which was lovely. Our wonderful registrar also read our love story to make it more personal for us. Later in the day, Carwyn’s best man revealed that he’d signed him up to take part in an Ironman next year during his speech. My dad also gave a speech that was amazing. As a man of very few words, I was so overwhelmed when he got up to speak. There were quite a few tears!” A LUXURIOUS GETAWAY “We had a busy weekend after getting married on the Friday; we stayed at the Vale Resort on the Saturday and had a barbecue at my grandmother’s house,” remembers Nia. “We also popped down to our local church for a quick blessing, which was really the icing on the cake for my family. We went to the Cotswolds the Monday after, where we drank champagne and relaxed in a hot tub.” 33 REAL WEDDINGS
