Everyone sat in garden pods dotted around Llys Meddyg Hotel’s grounds. Each one was named after islands and rocks around the Pembrokeshire coast. Our guests were taken to the venue by a coach and the bridal party was transported in a car from J.J. McHugh Wedding Cars. Spirals in Haverfordwest provided our wedding flowers. We had sunflower pews in the church and the entrance chimneys were filled with sunflowers as Ricky and my dad are both roofers. To finish the look, I chose a bouquet that was beautiful and wild. As favours, we gave our friends and family a shot of limoncello while we toasted to Ricky’s late mother. For our reception, we wanted a garden party vibe and Llys Meddyg Hotel fit the theme perfectly. It had the atmosphere we wanted and was in no way traditional. A year after the wedding, we went back to Llys Meddyg Hotel for a night to celebrate our first anniversary and took our onemonth-old daughter, Odette. It will always be a special place to us. Ricky and I tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Roch, Pembrokeshire. 38
