and was just so lovely to have in the room all morning whilst we were getting ready. “Liam knew from the beginning that he wanted a green suit,” continues Aisling. “He had a velvet green suit jacket from Hawkes Bespoke Outfitters and black trousers and a white shirt with a bow tie. The staff at Hawkes Bespoke Outfitters really went above and beyond to find the exact suit he wanted and helped with suggestions when it came to trousers, socks and accessories.” Aisling chose two of her oldest friends and her sister to be her bridesmaids. “They all wore pink dresses in different shades in a style that they wanted,” shares the bride. “I left this completely up to them as I wanted them to feel comfortable, and it just worked out that they all chose styles that worked with each other and had similar details.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “We both work in creative industries, so the entertainment was important to us,” reveals Aisling. “We were lucky that a lot of our friends and family are very talented and creative. The best man, Otis Jones, played the guitar and sang during the evening reception, which was amazing. He then helped my mum, who plays the accordion, and her drummer friend, Rob, perform the music while we did a short twmpath, which my dad called the dances for. As we had quite a few small children at the wedding, we hired a tent and some toys from Arthur’s Cart, who were brilliant. We also had some outdoor games set up for both the children and any adult guests that fancied a game. “We hired Hannah Williams Harpist, who played during the ceremony and drinks reception,” adds Aisling. “Hannah was incredible and she learnt some of our favourite songs for the day. She played an original piece of music that my mum wrote for me to walk down the aisle to, which was very special.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS “We felt so overwhelmed by the amount of love and kindness our nearest and dearest showed us on the day, and just incredibly happy all day,” explains Aisling. “Walking down the aisle at the start of the ceremony is something that I will never forget; it felt so special and perfect. The speeches were another highlight, as was spending the evening on the dancefloor with all our closest friends and family. We had a completely unplanned last dance at the end of the night to the song Wait For It from Hamilton, which was also one of my favourite parts of the day. “Our three-year-old nephew, Monroe, was very interested in all of the photography and wanted to be involved in all the photos,” continues Aisling. “Jacob Boodrie Photography very kindly let him hold the camera during some of our golden hour photos that led to some very silly pictures.” The couple’s suppliers helped make their big day special. “Jess Mac, who did our hair and make-up in the morning, couldn’t have done more and was just so lovely,” recalls Aisling. “The staff at both Tall John’s House and Sugarloaf Catering were all amazing; everybody was so friendly and welcoming and just helped make the day exactly as we’d hoped it would be. A specific thank you to Archie from Tall John’s House, who throughout the process was really relaxed and flexible with everything. I also don’t think we could’ve done it without my sister, Greta, who did so much of the decorating, altered the bridesmaids’ dresses and was just an overall superstar.” FLY AWAY WITH ME “On the Monday after the wedding, we flew to Negril, Jamaica, where Liam’s family is from,” says Aisling. “We planned it mostly together and had a lovely mixture of lying on the beach drinking cocktails and getting up early to go on excursions.” 33 REAL WEDDINGS
