Valentine Complete with a touch of Viva Magenta, this local shoot showcases the grandeur of local treasure, Prior Park College Images courtesy of Zara Rowlands Photography and South West Wedding Photography BE MY When the opportunity to use Prior Park College for a styled shoot cropped up early in 2023, Bath Weddings Networking Group jumped at the chance. It just made sense to combine the grandeur of the venue with the first major event of the year – Valentine’s Day. The stars then moved even further into alignment when Kerry from Angel’s Kitchen mentioned the Pantone colour of the year, Viva Magenta. Adding an extra dimension and bringing their story full circle, the team also decided to incorporate engagement shots, as well as a celebrant to bring the ceremony to life. Shoot coordinator Richard Wareham says, “I was fortunate enough to work with a number of great local suppliers last year, and continue to do so. We were able to feature some beautiful jewellery from Bath Aqua Glass for example, which complemented the whole look beautifully. But, one of the most challenging hurdles was picking the dress. It was impossible to pick just one perfect gown, so we chose two, one to fit the venue’s classical grandeur and the other to suit the winter theme.” Everything on the day went smoothly and the group was able to capture some incredible moments to showcase the elegance of the venue. With the help of a second photographer, each supplier got their chance to shine. “Everyone did an incredible job,” says Richard. 50
