Here are our top tips for dressing this type of venue… ♥ Colour. Consider your palette carefully so that it doesn’t clash with the existing decor. Georgian and Palladian interiors work well with pastel tones, while Tudor or Victorian styles suit richer, darker hues. If in doubt, going neutral is a safe bet for a timeless look. White, ivory and cream work well in any setting and can complement or tone down a dramatic interior. ♥ Metallics. Think about your accent colours and metallics. If the room has gold chandeliers and elaborate Rococo mirrors, then golds would work best in your styling. If your room houses an amazing silver collection, then take your cue from that. ♥ Simplicity. As country house interiors are often opulent, with portraits, mirrors and decorative objects, consider simple styling that will enhance this.
