Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - April/May 2021 (Issue 82)
We used a pallet table that we have in our living room to continue the rustic theme. We leaned it against some hay bales, lit it with fairylights and hung our table plan from it with twine and pegs. Our friends who couldn’t come to the wedding because of restrictions surprised us as we left the church in their bridesmaid dresses and my team ru gby kit! We got to share our special day with them, even though it was only brief. The beautiful marquee was decorated with faux ivy hanging from the ceiling and various small trees in tubs wrapped in hessian scattered around. The family farm was the perfect setting – it’s just 500 yards from Holy Cross Church in Mark where we held our ceremony. There was plenty of space for our marquee from Barny Lee Marquees, while the scenic fields and privacy of the countryside sealed the deal. We opted for a contemporary-rustic theme, with a palette of navy, copper, orange and cream. Our centrepieces were small jars and empty gin bottles with artificial orange roses and waxflower, all sitting on a log slice. 36
