Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - December 2020/Janaury 2021 (Issue 80)
The men looked handsome in blue suits with tweed waistcoats. Alex chose an ivory tie to stand out from his groomsmen who were in pink accessories to coordinate with the bridesmaids. My girls looked amazing in long floaty dresses. I love prosecco, so the place settings were made out of corks! The tables were named after different types of wood, which was inspired by Alex’s joinery work. As it was just before Easter, we treated our guests to mini eggs as favours. We arrived in style in a fabulous old Austin from Triggols’ Vintage Wedding Cars. It made a great photo opportunity. Alex made wooden letters that spelled out G&A and lit them up with vintage lightbulbs. My beautiful gown came from So Gorgeous Bridal. I loved the tight corset top and skirt that flowed out to the floor. For a personal touch, I accessorised it with my late-nanna’s necklace. REAL WEDDINGS 35
