I chose a fit-and-flare mermaid-style strapless dress. I teamed it with a reverse bolero, which was handmade by Yinka Alli to suit my skin tone and give an illusion- lace appearance. We had so many compliments on our catering by King Solomon Catering. We wanted our food to reflect our cultures, so we went with English and Caribbean canapés – the mini fish and chip cones went down a treat! The main course was served bowl-style, so everyone could pass food around and chat. The highlight was the waiters carving cuts of meat on skewers at the table. Matt wore a bespoke cranberry-coloured velvet tuxedo jacket and black trousers; he stood out from the groomsmen who wore the same but with black jackets. They looked great alongside my beautiful bridesmaids in floor-length rose gold sequinned gowns. REAL WEDDINGS 43
