We were initially attracted to The Webbington Hotel because of its interior beams and exposed stone walls; it’s very similar to our own house so it felt very us. Our cake was a total surprise on the day. We told our cake maker, Emma’s Celebration Cakes, the theme of the wedding and asked her to surprise us. We were blown away by our rustic and autumnal cake. I’ve always loved the autumn so I was set on having it as our theme. We had autumnal flowers for myself and the bridesmaids and we used pumpkins to line the aisle and as centrepieces. I also made corn wreaths for the pumpkins to sit in with the help of a local craft expert, Lesley, and scattered the tables with faux leaves and sequins. We burned a pumpkin- scented candle to add to the atmosphere. 30
