Anna and Rich married in an idyllic country venue, with beautiful blooms and a very special guest… Images courtesy of Jo Hansford Photography I t was on a teaching placement at a school in Coventry that Anna first noticed her colleague Rich. “He was so kind,” she says. “He drove me home so I didn’t have to face the bus when I was struggling to carry books. Rich says he can’t remember though – very romantic!” It was December 2016 when Rich joined Anna’s family for Christmas Day for the first time. “After lunch all I wanted to do was nap,” Anna remembers. “Rich kept pestering me to go for a walk and my sister, Amy, eventually convinced me. As we were walking up a hill, Amy and I were asking each other why so many people get engaged on Christmas Day – why not choose another day? When we reached the top, we had a beautiful view of Chew Valley Lake, and that’s where Rich proposed!” Luckily, Amy was on hand to capture some wonderful photos – and Anna’s surprise! “We were about to move to the Philippines so it wasn’t on my radar at all,” she says. The pair then had the task of organising their beautiful big day for 27 th July, 2019, at Ston Easton Park, all from thousands of miles away. Anna tells us how they did it...
