THAT’S AMORE Emily and Craig brought Scotland and Sicily to a pretty corner of Somerset Images courtesy of James and Kerrie Photography  O h, the way Emily and Craig met is so utterly romantic! “I got a job teaching English in a school in Sicily, and Craig was already a teacher there,” Emily says. “It was my first teaching job and I was nervous, but he helped me prepare for my first classes. We got on so well and had a lot in common.” Despite the fact that Craig was from Scotland, Emily was from England, and Craig was due to fly home in a few months while Emily planned to stay on, the pair started dating. They would sit on his rooftop terrace playing guitar and singing, spending weekends at the beach and eating Sicily’s best pizza and cannoli – bliss! Funnily enough, Craig decided to stay, and the pair returned together four years later. Back in the UK, they visited Emily’s parents in Somerset. “He had a Friends -style quiz, with questions about us in each envelope,” Emily remembers. “The final envelope contained a beautiful handwritten letter. As he finished reading it out, he got down on one knee!” The pair soon started planning their dream day, setting the date for 3 rd August, 2019. Emily continues the story… REAL WEDDINGS 33
