We understand dress shopping can be overwhelming, so we aim to make you at ease while guiding you through the process with no pressure. We stock ex-sample and ex-catwalk dresses, pre-loved gowns and a line straight from the designers. This is fantastic news for your pocket and the environment. We arrange fittings to adjust the dress or make it personalised to you. What designers do you stock? We stock all the top designers from Alfred Sung to Vera Wang, and we sell off-the-peg at a minimum of half the RRP. What designer, past or present, would you choose to design your own dress? My favourite designer this week is Suzanne Neville, but last week it was Essense of Australia. With so many talented designers out there I change my mind all the time! What’s your stand-out moment in your bridal career? My boutique means a lot to me. It was my love for wedding gowns that allowed me, after five years of saving, to pay for IVF. First established at my home 29 years ago, Bride at Home then moved to our current location on Downend High Street ten years ago. We offer a stunning range of wedding gowns, evening dresses and accessories from designers all over the globe. We offer personalisation, alterations and creations, while always giving excellent customer service from our little family of bridal consultants. We listen to each customer to help them find their perfect Cinderella moment. What designers do you stock? Sincerity Bridal, Ronald Joyce, Eternity Bride, Paul Zeni, La Sposa and White One. What designer, past or present, would you choose to design your own dress? I would pick from Ronald Joyce’s newest collection; I’m loving the modern lace and options for personalisation – the designer truly has an eye for perfection. After being surrounded by amazing dresses for so long, I’d be a very picky bride indeed! What’s your stand-out moment in your bridal career? A really special moment was when Carol, one of my former brides, visited the shop with her husband on their silver wedding anniversary with a bunch of flowers and a thank you card. She told me they had thought of me every anniversary and decided to pay me a visit 25 years later!
