We’re so grateful to all of our guests for coming to share our day, especially those who travelled from Ireland, Europe, America, Canada, Hong Kong and even Australia. I also have to give a special thank you to my bridesmaids who gave me the most amazing send-off the night before the wedding at The Bear and Swan hotel in Chew Magna. We had a pamper evening and they made a wonderful video filled with photos and good luck messages. We had an acoustic duo during the drinks reception and dinner to set the mood, and the evening entertainment was provided by the John Adams Band. I felt a lot of pressure to deliver because of my background in live music events, but I couldn’t have been happier with these guys. They even included a rendition of I Wanna Be like You from The Jungle Book , complete with a kazoo solo! The dancefloor was packed all night and we ended with a silent disco. I had so much fun shopping with my mum and bridesmaids. I knew I wanted a boho style to fit with the theme, and I ended up choosing an off-the- shoulder style by Essense of Australia. I fell in love with the colour of it, and knew it was the one as soon as I put it on. I teamed it with a full-length veil for the ceremony and a flower crown for the reception. My mum’s silver knot bracelet was my something borrowed , I wore a blue hairband and my great- grandmother’s charm bracelet attached to my bouquet was something old. 34
