They were messaging for weeks before deciding to have their first date at Il Michelangelo on Weston’s seafront. “After the meal, we went for a nice walk and had our first kiss,” Kayleigh remembers. “There was a spark from day one and we planned our second date to the aquarium just two days later.” The couple talked about marriage from early on in their relationship. With a trip to Cornwall coming up, Luke started planning how to pop the question. “It was a wonderful day walking around the coast and through the woods,” Kayleigh says. “Then we had a lovely meal at our hotel where Luke got down on one knee!” Through the tears, Kayleigh managed to say “yes”, and they celebrated with a bottle of champagne.
