Your Bristol & Somerset Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 75)
For a personal touch we included a hand-written message to each guest on their place card. We named our tables Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge and Exodar; these are place names from the online game that we met on. Our amazing cake was from a small local bakery called Ahh Toots in St Nicholas Market. All of its bakes are homemade with a mix of delicious flavours, and they can cater for different dietary requirements. We had a tier of lemon and courgette and a tier of devil’s food chocolate cake. We opted for a teal colour scheme and chose our local florist, The Red Flower Barrow, to provide our flowers. They were great, using my favourite blooms and working within our budget to create lovely displays. I bought some extra flowers from them that I arranged in decorated glass bottles. We’d been to Glassboat Brasserie for lunch before and we loved its peaceful and beautiful location in central Bristol. As we’ve always enjoyed the food, we knew it was the ideal venue for us. 40
