Autumn is such a beautiful time. For me, this season is all about colour. Alongside fiery oranges and deep reds, I’d urge you to consider mixing in delicate faded tones of lavender and brown to give a richer palette and a more elegant feel to your designs. There are so many cut flowers to choose from at this time. Dahlias are a wonderful choice, especially varieties in dark burgundy hues such as Chocolate Karma. I always make use of the glorious seasonal foliage that’s available in this season to add beautiful browns and reds to arrangements – cotinus and oak are perfect choices. Another tip to really take advantage of what the season has to offer is to add seedheads and berries to your flowers.
